Slot Machines

A slot is a thin opening in something. People put letters and postcards through mail slots at post offices. People also play games of chance, such as roulette and poker, in slots. In these games, players can win big money if their symbols line up on a winning payline. The payout amounts for different combinations of symbols are listed in a pay table, which is usually displayed on the machine or accessible by pressing a “pay table” button. Some machines have wild symbols that can substitute for other symbols on the pay table.

A T-slot table provides an extended work area for a universal testing machine, allowing users to secure components and structures that cannot be held with standard grips. Commercially available T-slot nuts slide into the inverted T-slots on the table and are bolted with studs or threaded rods to the frame of the test machine. Guides or stops can then be positioned in the table to keep specimens in position for each test. This eliminates the need to reposition components and structures when performing different tests.
